IMG_9026.jpeg

Beige Price is a visual artist currently residing and creating work in Louisville, Kentucky. Growing up in Fisherville, Kentucky, she became fascinated with the woodlands and all living species in that ecosystem. When she immersed herself in the creek frontage of her childhood home, she developed a passion for exploration, discovery and play. Her environment inspired her to begin acrylic painting as a form of expression, finding it therapeutic. She later went onto working with spray paint to create large scale murals during the pandemic. Murals motivated Beige to pursue her BFA, at The Kentucky College of Art + Design where she received the Intuitional Merit Scholarship. College gave her the incentive to experiment with different materials, leading her to construct sculptures and explore digital media.

She conceptualizes her work by immersing herself in differnt environments and conducting field studies, through observational drawings to inspire her creations.

She often integrates the influence of ecological studies, psychology, and ecocentric philosophy to examine the interconnection between all living organisms into her art practice.

Beige Price’s diverse body of work is used to initiate conversations about the intricate relationship between humanity and the natural world.
